The Collective

The Collective went 2-1 this week. This was the first time since week 6 they finished the day with a winning record, going 4-7-1 during that time. They started the day with a loss to the Predators 3-8 despite having a full team this week. Mike Moore had the hattrick. The Collective rebounded in their last 2 games of the day with wins. Grant Donovan had a 4 goal game and Mike Moore had another hattrick to lead their team against the Flames, 9-2, then five different players scored in the 5-1 win against HB. Mike Moore and Rick Bartlett led their team's scoring with 9 points. Mike had the most goals with 7.

The Flames

The Flames went 2-1 for the week. This was their 3rd consecutive winning week and are 8-2 in their last 10 games. They started the day with a close 6-5 win over the Predators with Dennis Moffitt scoring the hattrick. They then, stretched their winning streak to 7 games with a 7-3 win over HB. They got off to a bad start in their 3rd game and weren't able to recover, but the Flames have put themselves back in the race, now only 8 points back of the Preds for 3rd place. Jim Taylor led his team's scoring with 10 points this week while Jim, Dennis, and Troy MacDonald had the most goals with 4.

The Predators

The Predators went 1-2 this week and seem to be in a bit of a slump, losing 5 of their last 6 games. They started the day losing a close game to the Flames 5-6 but rebounded with a convincing 8-3 win over the Collective. Yvon Mayer had the hattrick as they led 8-0 late in the game. It was Yvon's 2nd hattrick against the Collective this season. Their final game of the day, they lost to HB, despite Art McCoy's hattrick. The Preds have now gone 2 weeks without a tie for the first time this season. Art led his team's scoring this week with 9 points and Yvon had the most goals, scoring 5.

The Hung and the Breastless

The Hung and Breastless went 1-2 this week, dropping them 2 points out of first place. They lost their first game of the day against the Flames but rebounded in their second game 9-4 against the Predators on the strength of Peter Wolters 4 goal game. This was the 6th time Peter has scored 3 or more goals in a game. He leads the league in this category. His teammate, Doug Taylor has done it 5 times. HB finished their day with a loss to the Collective. Peter had the most points for his team this past Sunday with 8, which included 6 goals.
