The Flames

The Flames went 2-0-1 this past week. After starting the new year 0-6, the Flames have gone 5-0-1 in the past 2 weeks giving them a chance to catch 3rd place, presently 7 points back. They started the day beating the Collective 7-1, with new goalie, Travis H. coming within 17 seconds of earning a shutout. They followed up with a 7-4 win over HB. Dennis Moffitt and Troy MacDonald both had hattricks in the game. The Flames finished the day with a 6-6 tie against the Predators. This was the first tie of the season for the Flames, now undeafeated in 6 games. Troy and Dennis led their team's scoring this week with 10 points each. Troy scored the most goals with 7.

The Collective

The Collective finished 2-1 this Sunday. This puts them within 1 point of first place. Grant Donovan scored a hattrick in the win against HB to start the day, 6-3. In their 2nd game of the day, the Collective had a hard time scoring against Travis in nets for the Flames, making save after save. Brian Merrithew finally broke the shutout with 17 seconds left in the game, finishing with the 1-7 loss. The Collective finished their day with a 7-5 win over the Predators. Rick Haines had the hattrick in the game, his 3rd in 3 weeks. Grant Donovan led his team's scoring this week with 10 points, including 5 goals.

The Hung and the Breastless

The Hung And Breastless ended up with a 1-2 record this week. After dropping the first game to the Collective, 3-6, HB rebounded with a 5-1 win over the Predators. In their final game of the day, HB had Darryl Moorcraft and Ian Stevens switch places so Ian played his 4th game of the season in nets, having won his previous 3 games. But despite Dan LeBlanc hattrick, they lost 4-7 to the Flames. The HB boys were missing some key players this week and played the day with 5 runners after the first game, when they played with 6. Dan LeBlanc led his team's scoring this week with 7 points. He also had the most goals scoring 5.

The Predators

The Predators went 0-2-1 this week. They started their day with only 4 runners and the Collective's Paul Richard playing nets, while Scott Sheppard got ready. After a few minutes Scott took over nets and then with a few minutes left, Kelvin Hoyt took over.. This would be the first time 3 goalies ever played in the same game for the same team. The game ended up a 1-5 loss against HB. The 2nd game was a close game against the Collective, but despite Art McCoy's hattrick, they fell short by a 5-7 score. Their final game was against the red hot Flames, but scored some late goals to earn the 6-6 tie. Scott led his team's scoring with 7 points. Scott and Art each had 4 goals.
