Number 50 For Dan, Doug, And Troy

The Predators

The Predators went 3-0 this week. They exploded with offense, scoring 29 goals on the day in their 3 wins. Scott Sheppard provided the goaltending only allowing 8 goals. The Preds started they day by beating the Collective 11-5, with Troy Doyle scoring the hattrick and 4 other players scoring 2 goals each. They followed up with a win against HB, 4-2, and then finished the day with a 14-1 massacre against the Flames. Vince MacDonald led the way with a 4 goal game and Art McCoy and Yvon Mayer picked up hattricks. Art scored the most points for his team with 15 and scored the most goals with 7. Of note, Vince, Yvon, and Mark Cress each finished the day with 12 points.

The Collective

The Collective finished the day 2-1, giving them a 4 point lead in first place. They started with an 8-3 win over HB, with Rick Bartlett scoring the hattrick. After losing the 2nd game of the day, 5-11 to the Predators, the Collective rebounded with a 7-5 win against the Flames, with Grant Donovan's hattrick leading the way. This was Grant's 4th hattrick in the past 3 weeks. Paul Richard continues the offensive goaltending with 3 more assists giving him 11 in his past 9 games. Grant and Rick Bartlett led the way for their team this week, each with 12 points. Grant had the most goals with 6. Of note, Rick Haines has scored 25 goals in his last 18 games after 17 in his first 33 games.

The Hung and the Breastless

The Hung and Breastless went 1-2 for the day, slipping back to 4 points behind first place. HB debuted Ronnie Moore in nets this week and after a rough 3-8 loss to the Collective, he rebounded with his team to win 9-6 over the Flames. Dan LeBlanc had a 4 goal game after scoring his 50th goal of the season the previous game. Doug Taylor joined him with his 50th, scoring a hattrick in the game. They finished the day with the only low scoring game of the day, but a 2-4 loss to the Predators. Dan had the most points for his team this week with 6. All goals. Of note, Ronnie is the 4th goaltender to play for HB this season.

The Flames

The Flames went 0-3 this week. They started their day with a 6-9 loss to HB. In their 2nd game of the day they played a tight game against the Collective but fell short with a 5-7 score. Their final game of the day turned out to be a disaster as they gave up 14 goals to the Predators in a 1-14 loss. This is the largest margin of victory since we started the league. It just seemed to be an off day for the Flames who had most of their players to add doubt to the theory of the teams with the most players having more wins. Troy MacDonald and Scott Praught led their team's scoring each with 6 points. Troy had the most goals with 4. Of note, Troy scored his 50th goal of the season.
